IN-CLASS ACTIVITIES
- Ask students to tell you about Carolina
Herrera’s life.
- Follow the suggestions in the anno in the IAE
to have students describe the fashion trends of the last century and to link
fashions to social changes.

the suggestion in the anno in the IAE to have students think about Carolina
Herrera’s social status and whether she would have gotten along better
with Baltazar or the main character in El avaro.
- Put students in small groups for

in pairs for activity 4.
- Begin the Antes de leer section for
Caravana de sal. Present the vocabulary list, modeling the Spanish words
and expressions, and have students complete Conexión personal in
pairs.
