IN-CLASS ACTIVITIES
  1. Present the painting and quote on the Cultura section opener. Use the suggestions found in Additional Teaching Suggestions for Lecturas in the Instructor’s Resource Manual.
  2. Present the vocabulary list for Perfil: Carolina Herrera, modeling the Spanish words and expressions.
  3. Put students in pairs and have them complete Conexión personal.
  4. Show the video Correo celestial again and have students discuss Videoteca Después de ver el corto activity 5 in pairs. Ask each pair to summarize their answers.
  5. Ask for volunteers to read aloud the letters they wrote for Videoteca Después de ver el corto activity 6.
  6. Collect and correct the compositions students wrote for Atando cabos step 4 and the letters students wrote for Videoteca Después de ver el corto activity 6.
ASSIGNMENT
  1. Study the Vocabulario for Perfil: Carolina Herrera.
  2. Read Contexto cultural and Perfil: Carolina Herrera.
  3. Prepare the Después de leer activities for Perfil: Carolina Herrera for the next class.
  4. Go to the VENTANAS web site and prepare the Cultura activity to be submitted electronically before class on Day 12.
