Tertulia steps 1 and 2.
Have groups present their ideas to the class
(step 3). Then discuss the different opinions presented (step 4).
Discuss with the class the theme for
Lección 8, La religión y la política. Ask
students to describe different religious beliefs. How does politics affect
religion? How does religion affect politics? What do students think the
relationship between politics and religion should
be?
ASSIGNMENT
Examine the picture and read the quote on the
Literatura section opener for Lección 8. Write a paragraph
discussing the view of religion depicted in either the quote or the
painting.
