IN-CLASS ACTIVITIES
  1. Direct students’ attention to Sobre el autor. Ask them what symbolism, if any, they see in El viaje definitivo.
  2. Have students read the poem aloud. Ask them to identify the assonant rhymes (Análisis literario). Follow the suggestion in the anno in the IAE to have students focus on the mood evoked in the poem.
  3. Work through Después de leer activities 1, 2, and 3 for El viaje definitivo with the class.
ASSIGNMENT
  1. Prepare Después de leer activities 4, 5, and 6 for El viaje definitivo for the next class. Do activity 6 in writing.
  2. Continue preparing the Literatura activity from the VENTANAS web site to be submitted electronically before class on Day 6.
