IN-CLASS ACTIVITIES
  1. Present the vocabulary list, modeling the Spanish words and expressions, and do the Conexión personal questions for Turismo real with the class. Use the board to fill out the chart. Compare what students like to do and what they like to avoid; some students’ likes may be what other students seek to avoid.
  2. Ask students what they think the difference might be between turismo real and real turismo. Make sure they know the double meaning of real (real/royal) and that they understand that placement of an adjective before or after a noun can change its meaning.
  3. Begin reading Turismo real aloud with the class. Have students refine their understanding of the difference between turismo real and real turismo.
ASSIGNMENT
  1. Read Turismo real.
  2. Prepare the Después de leer activities for Turismo real for the next class.
  3. Continue preparing the Cultura activity from the VENTANAS web site to be submitted electronically before class on Day 12.
