IN-CLASS ACTIVITIES
- Warm up the class by asking question using
the vocabulary presented on p. 77 and p. 81.
- Discuss the Conexión personal
questions for El contrato with the class.
- Have students read aloud the first five
paragraphs of El contrato. Stop them after the first, third, and fifth
paragraphs and ask them to summarize the story to that point. (Refer to
Estrategia de lectura).
- Ask students in what way the narrator
participates in El contrato as a storyteller and in what ways he
participates as a character. (Refer to Análisis
literario.)
ASSIGNMENT
- Read El contrato.
- Identify sentences that show the narrator as
a character and those that show him as a storyteller. (Refer to
Análisis literario.)
- Prepare Después de leer
activities 1, 2, and 3 for El contrato for the next class.
- Continue preparing the Literatura
activity from the VENTANAS web site to be submitted electronically
before class on Day 6.
