IN-CLASS ACTIVITIES
- Put students in pairs to discuss Atando
cabos step1 (p. 37). Have each pair present its list to the
class.
- Follow the anno (IAE, p. 37) to present the
verbs gustar, fascinar, encantar, aburrir, molestar, and
interesar. Ask students to create positive and negative sentences using the
verbs in the present and past tenses.
- Present Atando cabos step 2 (p. 37).
Have students follow the Plan de redacción to write their
email.
- Ask for volunteers to read aloud their email
to the class.
- Collect and correct the paragraphs students
wrote for Después de leer activity 4 for Microcosmos III
(p. 36).
ASSIGNMENT
- Revise the email written for Atando
cabos step 2 (p. 37).
- Examine the painting and quote on the
Cultura section opener (p. 38). Use the Internet or the library to
find information on Yori Morel and Alfonso X el Sabio and be prepared to explain
something about each
person.
