IN-CLASS ACTIVITIES
- Direct students’ attention to Sobre
el autor (p. 30). Ask them how they think Benedetti’s life experience
is reflected in Idilio.
- Have students summarize the story after lines
5, 10, 15, and 24 (pp. 30–31).
- Ask students to discuss what they think is
the moral lesson of the story (Análisis literario, p. 29) and
Benedetti’s purpose in writing the story (Estrategia de lectura, p.
29).
- Put students in pairs and have them find all
the reflexive and direct object pronouns in Idilio (pp. 30–31), as
suggested in the annotation in the IAE, p. 30.
- Work through Después de leer
activities 1 and 2 for Idilio (p. 32) with the class.
ASSIGNMENT
- Prepare Después de leer
activities 3 and 4 for Idilio (p. 32) for the next class. Write a
paragraph for activity 4.
- Continue preparing the Literatura
activity from the VENTANAS web site to be submitted electronically
before class on Day 6.
