IN-CLASS ACTIVITIES
- Divide the class into five groups, assign
each group one paragraph of Los españoles y el fútbol
(pp.44–45), and have each group summarize the paragraph and explain its
relevance to the rest of the selection.
- Have students work through Después
de leer activity 1 (p. 46) in pairs. Have each pair write at least one
additional true/false statement, which they will ask the class.
- Combine pairs to form groups of four and have
the groups complete activity 2 of Después de leer for Los
españoles y el fútbol (p. 46).
- Have students complete activity 3 of
Después de leer for Los españoles y el fútbol
(p. 46) in groups of three.
- Present the Cómo expresar
opiniones section (p. 47) in Abriendo ventanas. Then have students
work in groups on their presentations.
- Collect and correct the paragraphs students
wrote for Después de leer activity 4 for Los españoles y
el fútbol (p.
46).
ASSIGNMENT
- Have groups prepare their Abriendo
ventanas presentations for the next class.
- Continue preparing the Cultura
activity from the VENTANAS web site to be submitted electronically
before class on Day 12.
