IN-CLASS ACTIVITIES
  1. Review Estructura 12.2 by providing students with a noun, an infinitive, and a tense and having them construct a sentence in the indicated tense.
  2. Have students begin Comunicación activity 5 for Estructura 12.2 individually, then work in pairs. Put students in pairs for activity 6 and in small groups for activity 7.
  3. Work through the Práctica activities for Estructura 12.3 with the class. Ask students to explain their choice of mood and tense for each sentence.
  4. Put students in pairs to complete Comunicación activity 4 for Estructura 12.3.
  5. Follow the suggestion in the anno in the IAE to brainstorm as a class the socio-political circumstances that define each period in Comunicación activity 5A for Estructura 12.3. Then put students in pairs and have them work on the activity.
ASSIGNMENT
  1. Finalize the dialogs for Comunicación activities 4 and 5A for Estructura 12.3 and be prepared to present them to the class.
  2. Do Comunicación activity 5B for Estructura 12.3 in writing.
  3. Read and prepare A conversar for discussion during the next class.
  4. Read Manos a la obra and prepare a presentation on the history of independence of a Hispanic country for Manos a la obra step B. Be prepared to make the presentation to the class on Day 8.
  5. Do step C of Manos a la obra in writing for Day 8.
ADDITIONAL PRACTICE OPTIONS

  1. Read the Lectura section in the workbook section of the Student Activities Manual and do the corresponding activities.
