ACTIVITIES
- Warm up the
class by asking personal questions that review
Estructura 1.3 (pp. 22–23) and
Estructura 1.4 (pp. 26–27).
- Present A
conversar (p. 30). Ask students whether
they read advice columns and what type of
problems people write about in these columns.
- Put students
in groups of four and have them work through
steps A & B of A conversar (p.
30). They will use their written work as the
basis for their discussions.
- Debrief A
conversar by having the groups report
their results to the whole class (step 3,
p. 30).
- Preview Actualidades
(pp. 32–33), going over Antes de
leer (p. 32) and starting to have students
read the comic strip aloud in class.
ASSIGNMENT
- Read Actualidades
(pp. 32–33) and be prepared to answer
#1 of Después de leer (p. 33).
- Go to the
VENTANAS web site, prepare the Actualidades
activity, and submit it electronically before
the next class.
- Continue
to prepare steps A–C of Manos a la
obra (p. 31) for Day 8.
ADDITIONAL
PRACTICE OPTIONS
- Prepare
the Composición section in the
workbook section of the Student Activities
Manual and do the corresponding activities.
- Take
the Quiz on the VENTANAS CD-ROM
and review any problem areas.
