IN-CLASS ACTIVITIES
- Direct students’ attention to Sobre
el autor. Ask them to identify examples of ironic and sarcastic language in
El eclipse.
- Follow the suggestion in the anno to have
students identify different aspects of the setting (Análisis
literario) and to discuss what knowledge students had before reading the
story and what they learned from reading it (Estrategia de lectura).
- Work through Después de leer
activities 1, 2, and 3 for El eclipse with the class. Students will work
in pairs for activity 3.
- Collect and correct the paragraphs students
wrote for Después de leer activity 4 for El
eclipse.
ASSIGNMENT
- Study the Vocabulario for El
prócer.
- Read and prepare Antes de leer for
El prócer.
- Read El prócer.
- Prepare the Después de leer
activities for El prócer for the next class.
- Continue preparing the Literatura
activity from the VENTANAS web site to be submitted electronically
before class on Day 4.
