IN-CLASS ACTIVITIES
- Direct students’ attention to Sobre
el autor. Follow the suggestion in the anno in the IAE to discuss the
author’s name.
- Ask students whether the ending was a
surprise or not. Have them list the details that made the surprise ending
logical and a consistent outcome (Análisis literario) or the
details and conventions that helped them predict the ending (Estrategia de
lectura).
- Work through Después de leer
activities 1 and 2 for Primer encuentro with the class. Put students in
small groups for activity 3 and in pairs for activity 4. Follow the
suggestions in the annos in the IAE to expand activities 2 and 4.
- Present the vocabulary list for Lorena
X301, modeling the Spanish words and expressions.
- Discuss the Conexión personal
questions for Lorena X301 with the class. Follow the suggestion in the
anno in the IAE to ask students to consider how science fiction might vary from
one society to
another.
