IN-CLASS ACTIVITIES
- Have students work in groups on
Tertulia steps 1 and 2.
- Have groups present their ideas to the class
(step 3). Then discuss the different opinions presented (step 4).
- Discuss with the class the theme for
Lección 8, La religión y la política.
Ask students to describe different religious beliefs. How does politics affect
religion? How does religion affect politics? What do students think the
relationship between politics and religion should
be?
ASSIGNMENT
- Examine the picture and read the quote on the
Literatura section opener for Lección 8. Write a paragraph
discussing the view of religion depicted in either the quote or the
painting.
