IN-CLASS ACTIVITIES
- Ask pairs to present the dialogs they
prepared for Atando cabos step 3.
- Present the painting and quote on the
Cultura section opener. Use the suggestions found in Additional
Teaching Suggestions for Lecturas in the Instructor’s Resource
Manual.
- Present the vocabulary list for Perfil:
Carolina Herrera, modeling the Spanish words and expressions. Put students
in pairs and have them complete Conexión personal.
- Ask students to tell you about Carolina
Herrera’s life.
- Work through Después de leer
activities 1 and 2 for Perfil: Carolina Herrera with the class. Put
students in small groups for activity 3 and in pairs for activity 4.
- Work through Videoteca
Después de ver el corto activity 4 with the class. Have students
discuss Videoteca Después de ver el corto activity 5 in
pairs.
- Collect and correct the compositions students
wrote for Atando cabos step 4 and the letters students wrote for
Videoteca Después de ver el corto activity

ASSIGNMENT
- Prepare Videoteca Después de
ver el corto activities 7 and 8. Be prepared to present the alternate
endings written for activity 8 to the class.
- Study the Vocabulario for Caravana
de sal.
- Read Antes de leer and Caravana de
sal. Prepare the Después de leer activities for the next
class. Do activity 3 in writing.
- Go to the VENTANAS web site and
prepare the Cultura activity to be submitted electronically before
class on Day 8.
