Day 4

IN-CLASS ACTIVITIES
  1. Have students present the dialogs they prepared for Después de leer activity 4 for La prodigiosa tarde de Baltasar to the class.
  2. Discuss Atando cabos step 1 with the class. Have students discuss Atando cabos step 2 in pairs. Follow the anno in the IAE to ask students what Baltazar and the main character in El avaro have in common and what they could teach each other.
  3. Put students in pairs and give them ten minutes to work on Atando cabos step 3.
  4. Put students in groups of three and have them read and peer review the compositions they wrote for Atando cabos step 4.
  5. Put students in pairs and have them work through Antes de ver el corto.
  6. Show the video, with sound. As a class, complete the Mientras ves el corto activities. Replay any portion of the video needed to correct the Mientras ves el corto activities.
ASSIGNMENT
  1. Finalize the dialogs written for Atando cabos step 3 and be prepared to present them to the class.
  2. Revise the compositions written for Atando cabos step 4.
  3. Study the Vocabulario for Perfil: Carolina Herrera.
  4. Read Antes de leer and Perfil: Carolina Herrera. Prepare the Después de leer activities for Perfil: Carolina Herrera for the next class.
  5. Prepare Videoteca Después de ver el corto activities 4, 5, and 6. Do activity 6 in writing.
