Day 3

IN-CLASS ACTIVITIES
  1. Work through Después de leer activities 1 and 2 for La prodigiosa tarde de Baltazar with the class. Follow the anno in the IAE to ask students about Baltazar’s attitudes and the circumstances in his life that led him to become who he is.
  2. Work through Después de leer activity 3 for La prodigiosa tarde de Baltazar with the class. Ask students about the symbolism of the cage (Análisis literario). Ask them to evaluate the story on the aspects mentioned in Estrategia de lectura.
  3. Put students in pairs and give them ten minutes to work on Después de leer activity 4 for La prodigiosa tarde de Baltazar.
  4. Present the Videoteca section. Model the Spanish words and expressions in Vocabulario. Play the video without sound. Ask students how they think the video relates to the lesson theme.
ASSIGNMENT
  1. Finish Después de leer activity 4 for La prodigiosa tarde de Baltazar and be prepared to present the dialogs to the class.
  2. Study the Videoteca Vocabulario.
  3. Prepare Antes de ver el corto for oral work during the next class.
  4. Read and prepare Atando cabos for the next class.
  5. Finish preparing the Literatura activity from the VENTANAS web site to be submitted electronically before the next class.
