- Begin the Antes de leer section for
El futuro de la Amazonia. Present the vocabulary list, modeling the
Spanish words and expressions.
- Put students in pairs for Conexión
personal. Have each pair share their results and use the board to record the
class’s actions to protect the environment.
- Use a map to show students the extent of the
Amazon Basin and the six countries that either border the river or have
tributary rivers that flow into the Amazon.
- Collect and correct the descriptions of the
ideal future world that students wrote for Atando cabos step
2.
ASSIGNMENT
- Study the Vocabulario for El futuro

- Read the Contexto cultural and El
futuro de la Amazonia.
- Prepare the Después de leer
activities for El futuro de la Amazonia for the next class.
- Go to the VENTANAS web site and
prepare the Cultura activity to be submitted electronically before
