IN-CLASS ACTIVITIES
- Put students in pairs to discuss Atando
cabos step1. Have each pair present the results of its discussion to the
class.
- Present Atando cabos step 2.
- Present the painting and quote on the
Cultura section opener. Use the suggestions found in Additional
Teaching Suggestions for Lecturas in the Instructor’s Resource
Manual.
- Present the profile on Mauricio Purto and do
the Conexión personal questions in Antes de leer with the
class. Present the vocabulary list, modeling the Spanish words and
expressions.
- Read Contexto cultural with the class.
Ask students if they practice any high-risk sports. What do they see as the
attraction of such sports? What type of people are drawn to high-risk
sports?
ASSIGNMENT
- Follow the Plan de redacción in
step 2 of Atando cabos to write a description of the ideal future
world.
- Study the Vocabulario for Perfil:
Mauricio Purto.
- Read Perfil: Mauricio Purto and
prepare the Después de leer activities for the next
class.
