- Ask students to tell you about Carlos J.
Finlay’s life.
- Work through Después de leer
activities 1 and 2 for Perfil: El doctor Carlos J. Finlay with the class.
Have students do Después de leer activity 3 in pairs.
- Show the video La hora de comer again
and work through Videoteca Después de ver el corto activity
4 with the class. Have students work in pairs to complete activity 5. Discuss
activity 6 as a class.
- Put students in groups of four and have them
work on Videoteca Después de ver el corto activity

ASSIGNMENT
- Study the Vocabulario for La
siesta.
- Read Antes de leer and La
siesta. Prepare the Después de leer activities for the next
class. Do activity 4 in writing.
- Finalize Videoteca Después
de ver el corto activity 8 and be prepared to present your version of the
video for the class.
- Prepare Videoteca Después de
ver el corto activities 7 and 9. Do activity 9 in writing.
- Go to the VENTANAS web site and
prepare the Cultura activity to be submitted electronically before
class on Day 8.
