IN-CLASS ACTIVITIES
- As a class activity, summarize the main
issues presented in the second and third scenes of 1 x 1 = 1, pero 1 + 1 =
2. Have students cite specific examples of tragedy and humor found in the
play and explain the role of each.
- Work through Después de leer
activities 1 and 2 for 1 x 1 = 1, pero 1 + 1 = 2 with the
class.
- Have students work in pairs for
Después de leer activity 3. As a class, go over students’
answers to activity 3.
- Put students into groups of four and have
them work on Después de leer activity 4.
- Present the Videoteca section. Play
the video without sound. Ask students how they think the video relates to the
lesson theme.
ASSIGNMENT
- Finish writing Scene IV for Después
de leer activity 4 for 1 x 1 = 1, pero 1 + 1 = 2 and be prepared to
perform it for the next class.
- Study the Videoteca
Vocabulario.
- Prepare Antes de ver el corto for oral
work during the next class.
- Read and prepare Atando cabos for the
next class.
- Finish preparing the Literatura
activity from the VENTANAS web site to be submitted electronically
before the next class.
