IN-CLASS ACTIVITIES
  1. Ask students to tell you about Catalina de Erauso.
  2. Work through Después de leer activities 1 and 2 for Perfil: Catalina de Erauso with the class.
  3. Put students in pairs and have them prepare Después de leer activity 3 for Perfil: Catalina de Erauso. Remind students to think of the differences between Spain and the Americas at that time.
  4. Have students prepare Después de leer activity 4 for Perfil: Catalina de Erauso in pairs. Have each pair present its interview to the class.
  5. Begin the Antes de leer section for Turismo real. Present the vocabulary list, modeling the Spanish words and expressions, and do the Conexión personal questions with the class.
  6. Collect and correct the travel advice students wrote for Atando cabos step 2.
ASSIGNMENT
  1. Study the Vocabulario for Turismo real.
  2. Read the Contexto cultural and Turismo real.
  3. Prepare the Después de leer activities for Turismo real for the next class.
  4. Go to the VENTANAS web site and prepare the Cultura activity to be submitted electronically before class on Day 8.
