Lesson Planning
These sample lesson plans illustrate how ¡VIVA!'s sixteen lessons can be completed in one academic year. They are based on 32 teaching weeks of 3 contact hours per week. The lessons plans are not prescriptive. You should feel free to present lesson materials as you see fit, tailoring them to your own teaching preferences and to your students' learning styles.
When planning lessons, you may find it helpful to glance at the Instructor's Annotated Edition (IAE), which contains ideas about how to preview and present vocabulary and grammar topics; present the video in class; and modify, expand, and vary activities.
The lesson plans are provided here as Rich Text Format (RTF) documents. This format can be opened with Microsoft Word and many other popular word-processing programs.
